  • Provide leadership on security policies, standards, procedures, guidelines, and a compliance program
  • Develop and maintain a Security Architecture for the company and its clients
  • Develop and maintain a Risk Management program
  • Responsible for security incident response and analysis, working with the management team and other stakeholders in taking appropriate action during information security breaches, violations and incidents in a timely manner with a sense of urgency
  • Review all IT initiatives for compliance to policies, legislation and adherence to architectures
  • Lead security assessments and process audits, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, forensic IT and incident management, and other regulatory activities
  • Oversee the deployment, integration and configuration of all new or improved security solutions. Integrate into a comprehensive Security Incident Event Management solution.  Assist other teams in development and report generation
  • Monitor and assess security compliance through regular review of technical specifications, configurations, logs, scripts, etc., and conduct regular security checks on connections (internal/ external) and systems to identify vulnerability
  • Review operation logs and event console activity to identify potential security-related events, determine cause of such events, and recommend respective counter measures
  • Responsible for compiling, reviewing, reporting and completing monthly KRI (Key Risk Indicator) reports with respect to network security and network systems
  • Communicate network security exposures, misuse, or noncompliance situations to management, and execute appropriate incident response procedures approved by management
  • Responsible for conducting assessments, architecture and investment reviews against existing and emerging threat vectors & trends
  • Coordinates, executes and implements activities relating to contingency planning, business continuity management and IT disaster recovery in conjunction with relevant functions and third parties
  • Responsible for conducting comprehensive information security awareness workshops, training and educational activities to the associates, managers and others as needed
  • Handle other duties as assigned by Agoralys Management


Requested Skills & Experience


  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Information security or related experience is required. Technical expertise in a highly specialized area required
  • At least 5 years of full-time work experience in information security management and/or related functions (such as IT audit and IT Risk Management)
  • Knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of information security as it applies to and impacts the organization
  • Experience with incident response and analysis, information security breaches, violations and incidents
  • Knowledge of information system architecture and security controls (i.e. firewall and border router configurations, operating systems configurations, wireless architectures, databases, specialized appliances, access control systems and information security policies and procedures)
  • Working knowledge of security tools used in supporting multiplatform environments, risk assessment procedures, identity management, authorization methodologies, authentication technologies, application security and system development and security attack pathologies
  • Working knowledge of modern perimeter application security systems, host based intrusion detection and prevention systems, stateful firewalls, VPN, SSL, TLS, PKI, Wireless, symmetric and asymmetric encryption systems and other security technologies such as, cryptography, Proxy Servers, Anti-virus, and Anti-Spam
  • Experience with service-oriented architectures and web services security
  • Strong knowledge in current security threats, trends and mitigations
  • Detailed knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing and the development of exploits
  • Experience with assessing existing IT environments for operational risk and remediation
  • Certification in CISSP, CISA or CISM preferred
  • Any related security compliance assessment experience preparing for and carrying out standards based third party audits: FIPPA.PCI, GLBA, SAS70, SOX, SSAE 16, SOC 1


Candidates must also possess communications skills, both written and verbal in French AND English, organizational and multi-tasking skills, the ability to present to corporate level, the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and work effectively with all levels of management, departments and outside vendors.
